Update…

So sorry to keep banging on about this, and so grateful to people who have tried to help. Since yesterday, a lot of people are getting an automated email back saying that the support@fb.com mailbox is full. This isn’t exactly what has happened, but the result is the same. I also set up another Facebook profile to be able to control my groups, but… you guessed it… it got blown up too. Obviously linked somehow in the algorithm.

However, ChatGPT came up with the suggestion below, and if anyone’s willing, I’d be massively grateful!

🧭 So, What Can You Ask Supporters To Do Instead?

If you’ve got a supportive Substack community willing to help, this is extremely valuable. Instead of emailing support@fb.com, you can ask them to:

✅ 1. Use the Facebook Help Feedback Form (works even if not logged in)

Link: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/357439354283890

They should choose:

“Report a Problem with Facebook”

And mention your profile link, email address, and the issue clearly

✅ 2. Mention You’re a Long-Term Community Leader

You could give them a sample message like:

I’m writing to request urgent help on behalf of Phil Escott (https://www.facebook.com/phil.escott.73), whose account has been wrongly suspended. He is a trusted community builder who has run health education groups for over a decade. His work is crucial to thousands of members, including myself.

He has submitted an appeal and completed identity verification, but is stuck in a loop with no option to upload ID or escalate. Please investigate and restore access if possible.

Thank you for supporting real, human users who rely on your platform.

✅ 3. Report a Problem via Their Own Facebook Accounts

From the Facebook app: Menu > Help & Support > Report a Problem

They can choose: “Something went wrong” and describe your situation

Attach your profile link and maybe even the checkpoint screenshot you shared

🧨 Pro Tip (Optional)

If any of your Substack subscribers are Meta Verified, business page admins, or frequent ad users, they are your best advocates. Ask those specific people to contact Meta through:

https://business.facebook.com/business/help/ (Meta Business Support)

Or the Meta Verified in-app support chat, if they have access.

Have you spoken to Mark Attwood? I’m pretty sure this happens to him on a regular basis. Plus he may be able to rally to support. 🙏

I think his issue is usually just a Facebook "jail" period when he can't post but still see everything – I've had them many times and they resolve on their own. I could be wrong though, and either way, great idea to ask him. Will do. Thank you!

I just spoke to him, and he says it has happened to him on numerous occasions. He never got anything back, but I'm not quite so controversial as Mark, so fingers crossed… :-)

Sent by email. Really hope others do the same and that gets resolved quickly.

Unfortunately I got an error message that the support@fb mailbox is full. Will try your other suggestion.

Yes, it seems that's a common issue… and thank you SO much!
